Your approach to plant care, whether detailed or laid-back, will influence how strictly you adhere to this schedule. While not every step is essential, it's important to apply BTK when caterpillars emerge, and these dates are indicated with a *.
Note : Restore & Protect can be mixed with BTK and sprayed in a single application.

April 1-7
- Inspect for any caterpillar tents that have overwintered, remove by hand.
- Apply Restore & Protect Foliar fertilizer.
- Prune or shape your plant (before new growth appears).
April 15-22
- Inspect for any caterpillars that have awoken and are feeding on plant.
- Apply BTK if present.
- Apply Turbo Grow root fertilizer.
- Prune or shape your plant (before new growth appears).
*May 1-7
- Inspect for any caterpillars that are feeding on plant.
- Apply BTK if present.
- Apply Restore & Protect Foliar fertilizer.
*May 22
- Install Box Moth Pheromone Trap and check it daily for moths. Once you have trapped one, expect to find caterpillars on your plant within 1-2 weeks.
- Apply BTK when present.
*June 1-7
- Inspect for any caterpillars that are feeding on plant.
- Apply BTK if present.
Apply Restore & Protect Foliar fertilizer.
June 15-22
- Inspect for pupae and remove by hand.
- Apply Turbo Grow root fertilizer.
July 1-7
- Inspect underside of leaves for eggs and remove by hand
- Apply Restore & Protect Foliar fertilizer.
*July 18-25
- Inspect for any caterpillars that are feeding on plant.
- Apply BTK if present.
- Replace capsule in Pheromone Trap.
*August 1-7
- Inspect for any caterpillars that are feeding on plant.
- Apply BTK if present.
- Apply Restore & Protect Foliar fertilizer.
*August 15-22
- Inspect for pupae and remove by hand.
- Apply Turbo Grow root fertilizer.
- Avoid any further pruning or shaping until next March/April.
September 1-7
- Inspect underside of leaves for eggs and remove by hand.
- Apply Restore & Protect Foliar fertilizer.
October 1-7
- Inspect the plant for caterpillar tents and remove by hand.
- Apply Restore & Protect Foliar fertilizer.
- Wrap in burlap to protect from Winter Burn.
