The value of a watch is not in being able to tell how much time has passed, but in being aware of the need to make that time count. Moments are bigger than minutes and your watch should tell more than time.
-Jord Wood Watches
If you haven’t yet heard of Jord Wood Watches, I might wonder where you’ve been hiding. This brand is popping up all over social media and I can understand why – they have a very clever marketing team who seems to think in broad strokes, rather than within a box. When I was first contacted by them to feature their watch on my instagram and blog I was curious as to how it would fit in with my interior design themed account. It didn’t take me long to find the connection.
There are two good reasons why I agreed to support Jord Wood Watches on their marketing AND GIVEAWAY blitz…
1. Their product embodies all of my favourite adjectives that I use daily in design:
classic – fresh – simple – elegant – natural – sustainable
2. Tristan Reay. My 19 year old son caught wind of Jord’s generous offer of a free watch, and not just any watch – a wood watch…black and gold…with a swiss movement…in a cool wood box…fitted to his wrist…at a value of $189…
So here I sit, bare wristed, writing this blog, while Tristan is off to University outfitted with a beautiful timepiece on his wrist. Before he left, I was able to snap these pictures of his new, Frankie series – Ebony & Gold.
